Windsor International Black Film Festival
The Windsor International Black Film Festival (WIBFF) 2026 is a four-day celebration of Black stories, culture, and creativity from around the world. Taking place August 13â16 in Windsor, Ontario, the festival features award-winning films, industry panels, workshops, networking opportunities, youth programming, and a red-carpet awards gala. WIBFF brings together filmmakers, artists, entrepreneurs, and audiences to celebrate diverse voices, foster cultural exchange, and showcase the power of storytelling through cinema.
WIBFF 2026 will feature:
– International and Canadian film screenings highlighting diverse Black experiences and perspectives.
– The Business of Film Symposium, bringing together filmmakers, producers, distributors, and industry leaders to discuss financing, content creation, distribution, and global partnerships.
– Panel discussions for emerging and established creatives.
– Youth-focused film programming and educational opportunities.
– Filmmaker Q&A sessions and networking events designed to foster industry connections.
– A glamorous red carpet, followed by a four-course meal, highlights the Gala & Awards Night and celebrates excellence in Black cinema.

Aug. 14: Film screening, located at 353 Freedom Way, 5 pm – 9 pm.
Aug. 15: Film screening, located at 353 Freedom Way, 10 am – 9 pm.
Aug. 16: Gala & Awards Night, located at Caesars Windsor, 377 Riverside Drive E, 5 pm to 10 pm.
