Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island officially kicked off the 2026 tourism season today with the release of the 2026/2027 Official Visitor Guide, unveiled in tandem with the 12th Annual Staycation Expo taking place Friday April 24th and Saturday April 25th at Devonshire Mall.
This year’s guide cover was unveiled highlighting the highly anticipated opening of the Gordie Howe International Bridge, including the opportunity for cyclists and pedestrians to experience the cross-border multi-use path free of charge. This once-in-a-generation infrastructure project represents a transformative moment for regional tourism, enhancing accessibility and creating new ways to explore the destination.
As the region’s largest print marketing publication, the Official Visitor Guide continues to serve as a cornerstone piece in showcasing the best of Windsor, Essex County and Pelee Island – connecting visitors and locals alike to authentic, bookable experiences across the region.

The Official Visitor Guide will be available at the Staycation Expo this weekend, with broader distribution planned through regional partners, direct mail, and targeted digital campaigns aimed at driving visitation throughout the year.
Now in its 12th year, the Staycation Expo continues to grow as a signature spring event, featuring more than 80 tourism stakeholders showcasing attractions, events, and experiences available across Windsor Essex. Visitors can explore interactive booths, engage with local businesses, and enjoy curated tasting zones highlighting the region’s arts & culture, outdoor adventure, entertainment and municipal offerings. Highlights include:
- Tasting Zone featuring 12 local wineries and 13 partners on the Barrels Bottles & Brews Trail
- The W.E. Made It Market featuring 14 local artisans and makers
- The W.E. Heart Local pop-up featuring
- 45+ stakeholder partner activations

The Staycation Expo runs Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25 during Devonshire Mall hours, offering a vibrant mix of exhibits, activations, and experiences for all ages including the chance to win a $500 Devonshire Mall shopping spree as they explore the Expo. Attendees will also have the first opportunity to pick up a complimentary copy of the 2026/2027 Official Visitor Guide and the refreshed Summer Event Card.
