Tourism Windsor Essex Launches The 5th Annual Holiday Gift Guide
Windsor, ON – Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island is kicking off the countdown to the holidays with the launch of our 5th Annual Holiday Gift Guide, the region’s largest and most robust guide to holiday shopping and supporting local for the holiday season.
Launched today at yqgholidays.ca, the Holiday Gift Guide features 32 pages packed with 300+ artisans, makers, retail locations and small businesses, including 45% which are brand new to be featured in the yearly publication.
“It’s the most wonderful time of the year – and we’re excited to launch the fifth edition of our Holiday Gift Guide to help emphasize the importance of supporting local and showcasing unique businesses and artisans in a big way across the region” said Gordon Orr, CEO of Tourism Windsor Essex. “This year we have increased our distribution reach of the guide to more than 75,000 guides being delivered directly to houses and apartments across Windsor Essex. We often see people using the guide as a checklist for items to buy each season – bringing the guide in person to each business and crossing off their naughty and nice list as they explore our shops and districts and leaving a strong local economic impact behind.”
This year’s guide being delivered by Canada Post to 75,000 Windsor Essex homes starting today, which marks a 15% increase in distribution directly to local shoppers. Print editions can also be picked up at locally-sourced retail stores, Tourism Windsor Essex offices or information kiosks, or a digital edition of the Holiday Gift Guide is available online now by clicking here.
In tandem with the launch of the guide, today also marked the launch of the ‘50 Days of Giveaways’ where readers will have the chance to win 1-of-64 daily prizes to be given away. A total of $4,400+ in gifts will be given away between now and Wednesday December 20th at yqgholidays.ca.
“This guide would not be possible without the partnership of the Windsor-Essex Small Business and Entrepreneurship Centre and the generous support of our advertisers” said Orr. “We would like to thank the local community for embracing supporting local, and for continuing to do so in the future.”
In addition to the shopping ideas, the Holiday Gift Guide and yqgholidays.ca also features our Holiday Event Guide and the largest list of festive fun to add to your calendar this season. Readers can also flip through locally sourced recipes, tips for New Year’s Eve fun, a Barrels Bottles & Brews Trail craft brews and spirits guide, local wine pairing ideas and more.
