Announcing the Finalists in the 9th Annual Best of Windsor Essex Awards
Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island is pleased to announce the 235 finalists across 47 awards in our 9th Annual Best of Windsor Essex, a social media campaign designed to help profile where locals love to visit in Windsor, Essex County & Pelee Island.
The public are invited to cast their votes at bestofwindsoressex.ca/vote today. Voting began on February 12th, 2024 at 12:01am and will run through March 3rd, 2024 at 11:59pm. Visitors can vote once per valid email address – having their say on who may be the best of the best in the region.
“We know that when visitors go to a region, they love to search out unique locations and some of the favourite spots that locals love to frequent for a unique and authentic experience” said Gordon Orr, CEO of Tourism Windsor Essex. “Now in its 9th year, the Best of Windsor Essex Awards have amassed over 76,000+ votes in total to help profile the best of the best in our region, and at the same time recognizing 380+ local businesses and attractions over the years with an award as voted by the public.”

- Photo Op

- Best Coffee Shop, Cafe or Roaster (Drink)
- Best Diverse Eats (Food)
- Best Lunch Spot (Food)
- Best Wing Spot (Food)
- Best Picnic Spot (Outdoor Adventure)
As thanks for sharing their opinions, voters will be entered to win a Best of Windsor Essex Shopping Spree with over $500 in prizes from some of our ‘Best Of’ Winners once they vote at bestofwindsoressex.ca/vote.
Winners of the Best of Windsor Essex Awards will be announced at a virtual Awards Ceremony on Thursday April 4th, 2024 at 1pm. In addition to commemorative plaques, a letter of congratulations and bragging rights, two free months of advertising on windsoriteDOTca, winners will also be prominently featured in our Official Visitor Guide set to be released on Thursday April 24th as well as featured on bestofwindsoressex.ca.

This 9th annual initiative will help us tell our story and feature some of the best of our tourism assets to market to tourists.”
