Tourism Windsor Essex Launches Holiday Light Pass

Free Digital Pass Incentives Users to Explore Four Regional Light Festivals This Holiday Season

Windsor, ON – Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island is creating holiday magic with the launch of the Holiday Light Pass, a free digital passport that will guide users to the four regional light festivals in the region, including:

• Bright Lights Windsor at Jackson Park, opening November 29^th through January 7^th
• Amherstburg River Lights Winter Festival at Kings Navy Yard Park and Toddy Jones Park open now through January 7^th
• Kingsville Fantasy of Lights at Lakeside Park open now through January 2^nd
• LaSalle Holiday Lights Heritage Nights at the LaSalle Civic Centre opening November 22^nd through January 5^th

“There is nothing more magical during the holiday season than creating memories at the light festivals, setting the perfect venue for a great family photo, experience the outdoors, and now the chance to win with the Holiday Lights Pass” said Gordon Orr, CEO of Tourism Windsor Essex. “The Holiday Lights Pass will incentive users to explore more areas of our region whether they are a visitor planning a trip to the region, or a local taking their visiting family and friends out to experience some holiday magic. This free tool will give us more information on who is visiting the festivals, but also incentivize users to share their memories and possibly visit a new festival or district that they haven’t explored before with the chance to win the $500 shopping spree with our partners at Devonshire Mall.”

Between now and January 7^th, 2025 users can go to visitwindsoressex.com/lights and register for the Holiday Lights Pass operated by Bandwango for their chance to experience holiday magic and the chance to win a $500 Devonshire Mall shopping spree. There are 3 easy steps to earning entries:

• Step #1 – register for the light pass
• Step #2 – check in at a light festival to receive their entry
• Step #3 – check in at more light festivals or load a photo from the light festivals for bonus entries

The pass uses GPS technology to allow users to check in through their phone with no downloading needed. Once they arrive at any of the light festivals they can click ‘Check In’ on the pass to receive their entry, and have the option to load a photo from the festival for bonus entries, including:

• Check in at 2 light festivals – one entry
• Check in at a 3^rd light festival – one bonus entry
• Check in at all 4 light festivals – five bonus entries
• Load a photo from the light festival – one bonus entry per photo

The contest runs through January 7^th, 2025 and one $500 Devonshire Mall gift card will be awarded to one participant. Once a user has registered they will also receive an entry to a weekly bonus draw of $50 in prizes from select Bright Lights Windsor sponsors being awarded now through December 27^th.
