A Weekend in Point Pelee National Park

Original blog by Carson of Burke Films | October 25, 2019

If a weekend of outdoor adventure is in your sights, look no further than in your own backyard! Just 45 minutes outside of Windsor, ON lies the nature lovers dream of Point Pelee National Park, Hillman Marsh and of course, beautiful Lake Erie.

If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen some highlights from my weekend stay in Point Pelee’s oTENTik, with stops at The Butcher of Kingsville and Lee & Maria’s in Kingsville, ON, as well as Birdies Perch, Leamington Marina and Hillman Marsh in Leamington, ON.

I got to spend hours exploring by kayak and fishing at Leamington Municipal marina.  From rising early with hopes to catch the flight of the monarchs to catching in the amazing sights of Dark Sky Night, my weekend at Point Pelee was spent enjoying the fall weather and taking in the colourful sights.

Enjoy this short video documenting my recent adventure and don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube Channel.
