Big Creek Conservation Area

Only 6 kilometres from Holiday Beach Conservation Area and draining into Lake Erie, Big Creek is located at the western tip of Lake Erie. It is the largest wetland in the area and attracts masses of migrating birds as they cross the lake at its narrowest point. It is also the current site of the Janisse-Marcotte-Melady-Sutton-Morris Sutton Heritage Forest. Bird highlights include shorebirds, waterfowl and of course, migrating birds of prey. Big Creek is a stream located at the western tip of Lake Erie near the Town of Amherstburg in the province of Ontario, Canada. Here, you will find a variety of fish including smallmouth bass, rainbow trout, largemouth bass, brook trout and brown trout.
