Windsor, ON – Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island, in partnership with Destination Ontario, is pleased to welcome Corus Radio to Windsor for a special multi-market radio broadcast on Friday October 16th, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., showcasing the region’s diverse tourism experiences to listeners from 4 stations across 8 key Ontario markets.

The broadcast partnership will feature four popular Corus Radio morning shows, reaching audiences across London, Woodstock, Hamilton, Kitchener and additional surrounding communities, positioning our region as an ideal destination for fall road trips, weekend getaways and year-round exploration.

Participating radio programs include:

  • Devon Peacock – AM980: Broadcasting in London
  • Mornings with Kyle – Country 104 FM: Broadcasting in London, Woodstock and Hamilton
  • Taz & Jim – FM96: Broadcasting in London, Hamilton and Kitchener
  • Kat & Dave – FRESH FM: Broadcasting in London, Hamilton and Kitchener

“Fall is an incredible time to explore Windsor Essex, and partnerships like this give us the opportunity to bring our destination directly to audiences who are just a road trip away,” said Gordon Orr, CEO of Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island and CEO, Invest WindsorEssex. “By bringing four popular radio programs into the region, we’re not only reaching listeners across eight key markets, but giving these personalities the opportunity to experience the region firsthand and share those stories with their audiences. Combining live broadcasts with social media storytelling creates valuable exposure that inspires travel, supports our tourism partners and keeps Windsor Essex top of mind as a year-round getaway destination.”

In addition to the live broadcasts, participating radio personalities will take part in a one-day destination familiarization tour, experiencing firsthand some of the region’s signature attractions, culinary offerings, local businesses and unique tourism experiences. The visit will also generate additional social media content, extending the reach of the partnership beyond the morning broadcasts and inspiring audiences to discover more of Windsor Essex.

“Welcoming broadcasters from across Ontario is another opportunity to share Windsor’s story and showcase the incredible experiences that make our city and region worth visiting,” said Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens. “From our vibrant downtown and beautiful waterfront to our culinary scene, cultural attractions and unique neighbourhoods, Windsor has so much to offer visitors in every season. These partnerships help introduce our community to new audiences, encourage people to plan their next road trip and support the local businesses that contribute to our growing visitor economy.”

Hosting regional media broadcasts is a key component of Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island’s annual marketing strategy, connecting the destination directly with potential visitors in priority domestic markets. The Corus Radio partnership will specifically target Ontario’s important drive markets, encouraging shoulder-season travel and highlighting the experiences available throughout the fall and beyond.

The partnership builds on Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island’s continued investment in strategic media collaborations, including its recent CHCH Morning Live broadcast from Caesars Windsor. Together, these initiatives generate valuable destination exposure, amplify the stories of local tourism operators and encourage visitation beyond the traditional summer travel season.

Listeners across participating markets are encouraged to tune in on Friday October 16th between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. to hear firsthand about the experiences that make Windsor Essex worth the drive, or locals can visit Cosmo’s Lounge inside Caesars Windsor to see the broadcasts happen live.
