Located at the foot of Mill Street within Port Windsorโs greenspace, The Queenโs Dock: A Cultural Pier (also known as the Bezhigoyaak Pier) features Indigenous artwork, interpretive signage, QR codes, an expansion of the pedestrian pathway and a ceremonial space curated by First Nations leaders. The pier provides access to an experiential vantage point of the riverfront and the Gordie Howe International Bridge. The layout honours the traditions of First Nations culturesโ directional path of learning โ enter from the left, exit to the right โ encouraging thoughtful movement and reflection. With its clean lines, mesh railings, and modern suspension design, the pier is both accessible and visually striking. The pier will remain a space for recreational fishing for the community.
