Located at 1640 Lesperance Road, and named after the year in which India was granted independence from the United Kingdom, India47 is a restaurant that seeks to give locals and visitors a chance to try real Indian cuisine. Operated by Varun Kapoor, India47 was created out of a passion to give individuals an opportunity to try the real flavours of India.

With over 37 styles of cuisine in India, Varun hopes to give people a chance to try something they’ve never had before. Varun has spent most of his life working in the hospitality industry and loves running a restaurant, as it allows him to share his culture with new and different people every day.

Traditional Cuisine:

India47 serves a wide range of Indian cuisine, with several authentic dishes on their menu, as well as an assortment of other dishes inspired by Indian ingredients on their bar menu. India47 is split into two sections, with their bar section serving fusion food, inspired by Indian ingredients, like their Indian Pizzas, Nachos, and Tacos. Within their dining room, India47 serves an array of spicy and savoury dishes, like their Butter Chicken, Biryani, and Malai Kofta.
