The Gordon House is fully restored to 1798. It is completely furnished with antiques from the 18th and 19th centuries. Built overlooking the Detroit River in 1798 by George Sharp, a Scottish merchant, the Gordon House is the oldest building originally built in Amherstburg, Ontario, Canada. Our tea room is decorated in true Georgian style, boosts beautiful original paintings by local artists.
