CWATS – County Wide Active Transportation System

CWATS, the County Wide Active Transportation System, is a travel strategy for pedestrians and cyclists.

The County of Essex has partnered with the seven local municipalities, the Essex Region Conservation Authority (ERCA), the Windsor Essex County Health Unit (WECHU) and the neighbouring municipalities, the Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO), the City of Windsor and the Municipality of Chatham-Kent to build a cycling and pedestrian network that will connect all of our communities. Over 800km of cycling paths and multi-use trails will be built over the next 20+ years. Come out and Walk, Ride, County Wide.
