Detroit Lions Block Party

Detroit Lions fans are set to roar once again in the streets of Downtown Windsor as the city hosts an official Detroit Lions–sanctioned Block Party on Thursday November 27th, 2025, celebrating the Lions’ annual Thanksgiving Day Classic against the Green Bay Packers. This free, family-friendly event kicks off at 10 a.m. on the 300 block of Ouellette Avenue, transforming the downtown core into a sea of Honolulu blue and silver. Fans can enjoy a massive live viewing screen, NFL-themed activations, outdoor bars, local food vendors, and plenty of Lions pride in the heart of downtown Windsor.

At 1:05 p.m., the Lions–Packers game will be broadcast live from Ford Field just across the border, creating the ultimate open-air viewing experience for fans who can’t make it across to the game in person. By hosting this event, Windsorites will be able to take part in one of Canada’s largest celebrations of NFL football.

To cap off the day, fans are invited to stick around for a post-game concert on the main stage on Ouellette Avenue, hosted by the Detroit Lions, DWBIA, and Tourism Windsor Essex, featuring The Jody Raffoul Band performing live after the game.
