Downtown Windsor Set To Roar With Detroit Lions Drone Show
Due to expected inclement weather the drone show has been rescheduled to Saturday January 11th, 2025 starting at 7pm.
This Saturday we want you to wear your Honolulu Blue and join in the excitement with the City of Windsor and the Detroit Lions Playoffs with a breathtaking and awe-inspiring show high above the Windsor waterfront. A Detroit Lions themed drone show, gifted to the City of Windsor by the Detroit Lions, will take place to celebrate Canadian Lions fans and the start of NFL playoffs.

The drone show kicks off on Saturday January 11th at 7pm towering over the Windsor waterfront, with hundreds of drones taking off from the Riverfront Festival Plaza site, which will be closed for the launch. The drone show will last approximately 15 minutes, concluding at 7:15pm. Where to view the show: The drone show will be viewable from various locations across the city, and Downtown Windsor will be the top spot to be that evening. Take a look at our map highlighting street closures for the event. If you are in the downtown core you do not want to be behind any large structures impeding views of the skyline. If you can see the Caesars Windsor hotel towers from your vantage point, you will be able to see the drone show.* Sight lines may change Stop in pre-or-post drone show and grab a bite to eat at one of our downtown dining establishment, or a cocktail with your friends as you get ready for the excitement of the Detroit Lions playoff run.
