Taco Mania

Get ready for the ultimate culinary showdown. Tailgate Takeout and WindsorEats have officially joined forces to host the inaugural TacoMania, an all-out taco battle!

The event brings together some of Windsor-Essex’s premier taco vendors, including The Grand Cantina (Windsor), El Diablo (Kingsville), El Patron (Tecumseh), Rico Taco (Windsor), Hot Tacos (Windsor) and more. Participating vendors will go head-to-head, each crafting an exclusive competition taco available for just $5, giving attendees the chance to sample multiple entries and vote for their favorites.

Vendors will compete across three distinct categories:
Judge’s Choice
People’s Choice
Most Unique Taco

Beyond the high-stakes food competition, TacoMania delivers a full festival experience. The event features a live musical performance by Disco Lemonade, a high-energy alternative rock cover band, alongside an exclusive WindsorEats TacoMania cocktail menu featuring signature margaritas crafted specifically for the occasion.

“We’re bringing the intensity of a championship wrestling match straight to Windsor’s food scene,” said Tailgate Takeout’s, Jen Brignall Strong. “Between the $5 specialty tacos, live music, themed drinks, and free admission, it’s designed to be an accessible, high-energy event for the entire community.”
