Ford Fireworks Guide

The Parade Company is looking forward to presenting the 66th edition of the Ford Fireworks on Monday, June 24, 2024! The Ford Fireworks is one of the very best shows in North America – and there is not a better seat anywhere to watch the show while enjoying the evening with friends from the Windsor waterfront. As a result of higher traffic volumes in the downtown core, many security precautions will be put in place.

To ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment, following is a map of this year’s road closures. The City will be bagging meters at 6pm on Sunday June 23, and parking enforcement will be in effect. Roads will close at 6pm sharp and will re-open once they have been swept following the event, typically by 1am.

The Fireworks are scheduled to start at 10pm, and last approximately 25 minutes.

Please note: There will be NO entry or exist to municipal Parking Garages and Lots, inside of the Restricted Area, between 6pm and midnight.

Free Transit and shuttle services

Fireworks fans will once again benefit from free transit rides thanks to our local Zehrs® stores. But there’s more!  The annual fireworks event sees thousands of residents from two countries come together for a spectacular show, and the City of Windsor and Zehrs® are proud to be a part of it. It all takes place from the Parkway Mall Zehrs® at 7201 Tecumseh Road East from 6 p.m. to 12 midnight.

Also, avoid the annual parking issues and road closures by enjoying the free ride from Devonshire Mall to the Windsor riverfront and back. Shuttles leave Devonshire Mall (3100 Howard Avenue) starting at 6 p.m. from Sydney Avenue, and the last shuttle will return to the mall from a pickup location across from the Windsor Arena on McDougall Street near Wyandotte Street West directly after the fireworks until midnight.

Fireworks Charity Event

Doors open at 7:00pm. 
In support of the Fight Like Mason Foundation, Chrysler Theatre is hosting a fireworks charity event for families to enjoy a night of food, fun and fireworks.
