Carrousel of the Nations – Weekend One

Voted best festival in Ontario three years in a row, the Carrousel of the Nations is an award-winning weekend of food & culture put on tby the Mulit-cultural Council of Windsor Essex that celebrates global diversity. It allows visitors to “travel the world” by exploring dozens of cultural villages.Founded in 1974, it is one of the region’s longest-running and most highly anticipated community events.

How It Works

• Cultural Villages: Local community centers, clubs, and organizations transform into “villages” representing various countries and heritages.
• Food & Drink: Attendees can sample authentic, traditional dishes and beverages specific to each culture.
• Music & Dance: The villages host live cultural entertainment, traditional music, and dance performances.
• Education: Visitors can enjoy presentations and displays highlighting the history, attire, and traditions of different nations
