Tourism Windsor Essex Launches 4th Annual Holiday Gift Guide

Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island is preparing for the holidays with the launch of our 4th Annual Holiday Gift Guide, the region’s largest and most robust guide to shopping and supporting local for the holiday season.

Launched today at yqgholidays.ca, the gift guide has grown to 32 pages and features 280+ artisans, small businesses and retail locations to shop at in preparation for the holiday season, of which 50% are new to be featured in the Holiday Gift Guide this year.

“We are excited to launch the fourth annual edition of our Holiday Gift Guide, a program that continues to grow and help emphasize the importance of supporting local when making your retail purchases during the holiday season” said Gordon Orr, CEO of Tourism Windsor Essex. “This year you will see that we took the opportunity to grow the guide to 32 pages – which gave us the opportunity to profile an additional 90+ local artisans, makers and local retail partners in the guide, which is being distributed by mail directly to 65,000+ households in Windsor and Essex County.”

Readers also have the chance to win the gifts in the guide by participating in the ’50 Days of Giveaways’. Each day a feature icon is posted at www.yqgholidays.ca. Readers then search the guide for that icon, and tell us what page number the icon is featured on for the chance to win 1-of-57 of the gifts that are featured in the guide. A total of $3,500 in gifts will be given away between November 1st and December 20th, 2022.

“This guide would not be possible without the partnership of the Windsor-Essex Small Business and Entrepreneurship Centre and the generous support of our advertisers” said Orr. “We would like to thank the local community for embracing supporting local over the last two years, and for continuing to do so in the future.”

In addition to the shopping ideas, the Holiday Gift Guide and yqgholidays.ca also features our Holiday Event Guide and the largest list of festive fun to add to the calendar this season. Readers can also flip through locally sourced recipes, tips for New Year’s Eve fun, and a local wine, brews and spirits guide.

Interested readers can go to yqgholidays.ca and read the Holiday Gift Guide, and 65k+ homes in Windsor & Essex County will be receiving a copy of the Holiday Gift Guide in their mailbox.
