With 65 acres of green space at Lakewood Park, there is plenty to explore outdoors while in Tecumseh! Explore the trails, gardens and even relax a while on the sandy waterfront beach. Hit the greens in not the usual way and try your hand at the 18-hole Tecumseh Disc Golf course. The course is free to use and players of all ages are welcome to enjoy it! If you wanna take full advantage of Lake St. Clair, Urban Surf Co. is the way to go! From kayak, canoe or stand up paddle board rentals and evening sunset paddles, spending some time on the water is a great way to explore. For those who prefer to spend their time on land, they’ve got you covered with their pedal-assist cruiser bike rentals and suggested routes for you to explore the area.
If you’ve worked up an appetite while you’re exploring there are plenty of great places to refuel in Tecumseh. Serving up smoothies and iced drinks, make sure to hit up Maverick’s Cold Bar, located onsite at Urban Surf or grab yourself a delicious, plant-based and gluten-free meal at Healthy Mama! Don’t forget to peruse their pantry shop for grocery items and packaged versions of their menu available to take home! Satisfy your sweet tooth at Slinky’s Ice Cream & Yogurt with both hard and soft serve cold treats – the hardest part may be choosing which flavour to get!
Make sure to set some time aside to explore some of the boutique shops around town!
