Canada Celebrates The FIFA World Cup 2026™ is Coming To Windsor On Wednesday July 15th

Join us for a day of free family fun at City Hall Square, Windsor on Wednesday July 15th from 12pm to 8pm

Windsor, ON – Canada Celebrates the FIFA World Cup 2026™ is coming to Windsor on Wednesday July 15th bringing a high-energy, one-day event to City Hall Square, Windsor.

“Canada Celebrates is an exciting opportunity for residents and visitors to come together and experience the energy and excitement of the FIFA World Cup 2026™ right here in Windsor. City Hall Square will be transformed into a vibrant community gathering place featuring live entertainment, cultural performances, family-friendly activities, local food vendors, and a chance to watch the semifinal match alongside fellow fans” said Mayor Drew Dilkens, City of Windsor. “Events like this help bring people together, showcase the diversity and spirit of our community, and support our Experience Windsor initiative by encouraging residents and visitors to explore all that our city has to offer. We are proud to host this free celebration and look forward to welcoming everyone to downtown Windsor for what promises to be a memorable summer event.”

Hosted by Meg Roberts of AM800 CKLW and Matt Rutherford of 89X Radio, the free, family-friendly event offers visitors the opportunity to experience the excitement and passion of the FIFA World Cup 2026™ with on-site soccer activations, fan engagement opportunities, DJ Chris James with live music all day, and the FIFA World Cup 2026™ final semi final match on the big screen at 3pm. Bring your lawn chair, your passion and energy to cheer on your favourite team.

Windsorites can expect to enjoy a festive atmosphere throughout the day, with plenty to explore before and after the match, including soccer-themed activities, food trucks, interactive experiences for fans of all ages and a licensed beer garden for those of legal drinking age.

While Toronto and Vancouver had the opportunity to host matches, Canada Celebrates is giving Windsorites the opportunity to join in the celebration close to home. Canada Celebrates the FIFA World Cup 2026™ is a first-of-its-kind programme that will unite communities across the co-host country throughout the tournament, which runs from 11 June to 19 July 2026, in celebration of the biggest FIFA World Cup™ in history.

Delivered as a series of free-to-the-public, one-day community celebrations across the country, Canada Celebrates will bring football fans together for live match viewings, football-themed activations, cultural programming, music, food and shared moments of national pride. As the country prepares to host its first FIFA World Cup alongside Mexico and the United States, Canada Celebrates will carry the energy, pride and passion that are synonymous with the tournament beyond the Host Cities of Toronto and Vancouver as part of this historic global occasion.
