History:

For more than 20 years, Marie Hernandez and her family have been serving Mexican cuisine to the Leamington community at Tacos Tony. Named after her husband, Tacos Tony was created due to an absence of Mexican cuisine in the Leamington region. Tony and Marie created a restaurant through which they could give Mexican migrant workers a taste of home.

While the restaurant was initially created with solely the migrant workers in mind, the family soon found that Canadians were becoming quite fond of their food as well. Marie and her family are passionate about their food and love to see their customers enjoying it. Over the years, they have adapted their recipes to bring traditional Mexican cuisine in line with Canadian preferences, thus giving everyone an opportunity to enjoy their culture’s food.

The menu at Tacos Tony covers a wide range of cuisine from across Mexico. All dishes are made with a passion for creating delicious meals that the community will enjoy. With more than 20 years of experience in the preparation of food in Leamington, the staff at Tacos Tony have had time to learn about the kinds of flavours and spices they can incorporate to create the best tasting dishes.

From Enchiladas to Burritos to Tacos, all the food at Tacos Tony is filled with incredible flavours that can be customized to anyone’s liking.
