Lake Erie is the fourth-largest lake (by surface area) of the five Great Lakes, and the eleventh-largest globally if measured in terms of surface area.ย ย Situated on the International Boundaryย between Canada and the United States, Lake Erie’s northern shore is the province of Ontario with the states of Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and New Yorkย on its western, southern, and eastern shores.
Muskie, walleye, bass and steelhead swim fat and plentiful in Lake Erie. In fact, the western end of Lake Erie is known as the โWalleye Capital of the Worldโ, and is brimming with yellow perch and rainbow trout.
