Tourism Windsor Essex Wins Big at the Ontario Tourism Summit

Windsor, ON โTourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island is proud to announce that we have won the Tourism Marketing and Travel Media Award of Excellence Award โ Tourism Marketing Campaign Over $50k at the Tourism Industry Association of Ontarioโs (TIAO) Ontario Tourism Summit, presented during the Ontario Tourism Awards of Excellence last night in Collingwood
The Tourism Marketing and Travel Media Award of Excellence recognized Tourism Windsor Essexโs โWhere Can W.E. Take Youโ branding campaign launched in April 2018. The fully-integrated/multimedia campaign was to reflect and convey the full range and scope of tourism offerings that prospective visitors would find waiting for them throughout Windsor Essex.
โWe wanted to connect with visitors on an emotional and physical level.ย With our attractions being experience based, we wanted to ask the question โWhere Can W.E. Take Youโ?โ said Gordon Orr, CEO of Tourism Windsor Essex. โWe developed and created a marketing campaign across all platforms including a revamped website all focusing on high impact imagery to truly showcase the region to its full potential.โ
In addition, Tourism Windsor Essex was also recognized for its part in the โCulinary Trails in Ontarioโs Southwestโ featuring our EPIC Wineries, Barrels Bottles & Brews Trail and Eat Drink Dine Kingsville, receiving the Travel Media Award.
This award clearly recognizes Tourism Windsor Essexโs ongoing efforts to bolster the image and economy of the region by developing, marketing, and promoting our destination in cooperation within a united tourism industry.
Tourism Windsor Essex as also a finalist for the Tourism Innovator of the Year Award at the 2019 Tourism Industry Awards of Excellence for the development of the Ontario Tourism Innovation Lab, a non-profit initiative that was create to find, foster and support new tourism ideas, experiences and partnerships in the region.
