Margarita Mile

Event Website

Lace up your sneakers and leave your dignity at the door. The Maple City Mile Run Group and dougthefoodie, in partnership with the award-winning WindsorEats, are proud to announce the Margarita Mile—a one-mile fun run/walk that proves you don’t need a marathon to earn a margarita. This ā€œgruelingā€ 1,600-meter trek will follow the city sidewalks surrounding the WindsorEats Food Hall. In a world of high-intensity athletics, the Margarita Mile offers a refreshing alternative: a race where the pace is slow, the salt is plenty, and the reward is actually drinkable.

Breaking away from traditional race norms, organizers have officially banned finish-line medals and ribbons. Instead, every participant who crosses the finish line will be ā€œcrownedā€ with a commemorative Margarita Mile Demi-Buff. This limited-edition runner’s buff is designed to be worn as a headband, neck gaiter, or a tactical napkin for post-race taco consumption.

The finish line isn’t just a destination; it’s the entrance to Windsor’s biggest Cinco de Mayo party. Upon completion, participants and fans can head straight to the WindsorEats patio, where authentic margaritas and street tacos from local favourites like Rico Taco will be available for purchase.

Participants of all fitness levels—and those who just really like lime—are encouraged to register early, as the commemorative buffs are limited.
