It’s from this magical land that the fabulous Arabica bean originates, and we make sure to import all our delightful coffee and tea straight from Yemen. Our true passion lies in serving you outstanding coffee, authentic Yemeni tea, and mouthwatering Yemeni baked goods. By opening this place, our ultimate goal is to introduce the world to Yemen’s rich culture and bring back the essence of original coffee houses. Yemeni Corner is the first and only Yemeni Coffee House in Canada. It was founded by Ida Farhan with the intention to give locals a taste of her culture and an opportunity to learn its vast history.

Coffee is a big part of Yemeni culture. There are centuries of stories about the growth and trade of coffee beans in Yemen, and Ida hopes to tell that history through the art, murals, and artifacts that line the walls of her shop.

However, the decor is not the only part of her restaurant filled with culture and history. Traditional Coffee Houses in Yemen are locations built around community that encourage the discussion of art, politics, and culture. Ida strives to make Yemeni Corner a place in Windsor-Essex in which everyone is welcome to come together and have healthy and thought provoking discussion.

Despite being located at 350 Cabana Rd. E, the experience at Yemeni Corner will make you feel as if you have left Windsor-Essex. Their menu is rich with a variety of uniquely Yemen coffee, tea, and pastries. Yemeni Corner strives to make the experience at their restaurant as authentic as possible, and as such all their food is prepared as it would be traditionally, while their coffee beans and teas are imported directly from the mountains of Yemen.

Whether you try their traditional Adeni Tea, their Honeycomb, or are just there to sit and immerse yourself in Yemen’s history and culture, Yemeni Corner is a one of a kind coffee shop experience in Canada.
