Lee & Maria’s Market

*Open for the 2024 season!*

At Lee & Maria’s they work to ensure everyone in the region has access to locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables.

The story of Lee & Maria’s, an on-farm market and delivery service, began in late 1978 when the young couple purchased an aging farmhouse and barn. Like most farmers in Essex County, Lee & Maria started by growing tomatoes for Heinz ketchup. However, after a few years, they decided to make the leap to launching a small roadside stand and growing over 20 different crops, instead of just one. It’s a practice that continues at Lee & Maria’s today.

This on-farm market features fresh locally grown produce from the farm and others across the region. They also offer a wide selection of local products ranging from pickles and preserves to wheat grass shots and kombucha. The market also features artisan cheese, meats, oils and vinegar.

Lee & Maria’s also offers a delivery service which was the first in the region to take produce from local farms, including their own, and deliver it directly to the homes of busy families and seniors across the region. Since its inception, Lee & Maria’s has been able to find a home for not only everything that they grow, but most of what is grown by over a dozen other local farmers. The service began small with one day of deliveries, some late nights, and 70 great families. Now, over 1,000 households and businesses enjoy locally grown produce brought to them by Lee & Maria’s on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
