Syrian World Premiere
This World Premiere of Syrian-American composer, Malek Jandali’s Symphony No. 5 integrates ancient Arabic melodies into Western classical orchestra in a unique form to preserve and present the rich heritage of his homeland Syria. Cuban American cellist Tommy Mesa performs Canadian composer Jocelyn Morlock’s Lucid Dreams. This piece will take you into the nocturnal world of the mind.
