The Colosseum stage plays host to Howard Jones & ABC with Haircut One Hundred for an electrifying night of hits on Thursday, August 29 at 7 PM.

Electronic music pioneer Howard Jones has been a constant presence on the international touring scene for the past four decades. His first two albums Human’s Lib and Dream Into Action were worldwide hits. Human’s Lib reached Number One in 1984 in the U.K. and featured the hits “New Song,” and “What Is Love?.” In 1985, Jones released the follow-up, Dream Into Action, which quickly became a Top Ten Platinum album in the United States and featured the smashes “Things Can Only Get Better,” “Life in One Day,” “No One Is to Blame,” and “Like to Get to Know You Well.” He has sold upwards of 10 million albums worldwide and continues to make new music and tour the world. His ubiquitous hits can be heard in such high-profile television series and films such as “Stranger Things,” “Breaking Bad,” and “Superstore.” His most recent album, Dialogue released in 2022.

ABC has enjoyed a glittering career to date. On its release in May 1982, their debut album The Lexicon of Love hit the U.K. album charts at Number One with the hit songs “Tears Are Not Enough”, “Poison Arrow”, “The Look of Love,” and “All of My Heart.” 1984’s How to Be a Zillionaire saw ABC conquer American audiences with devastating club mixes, with “How to Be a Millionaire,” “Be Near Me,” “Vanity Kills,” and “Ocean Blue” hitting the Billboard Dance Chart at Number One. Over 27 years after its debut release, ABC performed The Lexicon of Love in its entirety to a sell-out audience at London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall. ABC returned to the scene of their most resounding triumph with the release of The Lexicon of Love II. Sonically doffing its cap to the original, the album features 10 brand new songs from the pen of Martin Fry. Following the success of the 40^th anniversary tour and TV special for The Lexicon of Love, ABC embarked on a sell-out 23-date orchestra tour of the U.K. playing to over 35,000.

Haircut One Hundred is one of Britain’s most loved and creative pop bands. Their cherished LP, Pelican West contains their trademark hits “Favourite Shirts (Boy Meets Girl),” “Love Plus One,” “Fantastic Day,” and “Nobody’s Fool.” The album spent 11 consecutive weeks in the British Top 10 and twice reached Number Two. The record charted in the U.S., Australia, and beyond, after which lead singer Nick Heyward departed the group for a distinguished solo career. Nick’s career includes the Top 10 title, North of a Miracle, and a collection of nine LPs. In 2023, Haircut One Hundred reunited for select shows in the spring followed by a rapturously received tour in the fall, underlying the sheer timelessness of their appeal. This year will see Heyward collaborating with fellow founding members, Nemes, Graham Jones, and Blair Cunningham on a collective follow-up to Pelican West.
