SUMMARY:The Shark is Broken at Kordazone Theatre
DESCRIPTION:The open ocean\, 1974. Filming is delayed… again. \nThe lead actors – theatre veteran Robert Shaw and young Hollywood hotshots Richard Dreyfuss and Roy Scheider – are crammed into a too-small boat\, entirely at the mercy of foul weather and a faulty mechanical co-star. Alcohol flows\, egos collide\, and tempers flare on a chaotic voyage that just might lead to cinematic magic… if it doesn’t sink them all. Step aboard the Orca and into THE SHARK IS BROKEN\, a “profound dive behind the scenes of the making of JAWS”. This Olivier Award-nominated new play is “hilariously brilliant and pure genius”raves the Sunday Express. \nTHE SHARK IS BROKEN celebrates movie history and peeks at the choppy waters behind Hollywood’s first blockbuster. Short tempers. Short circuits. The script’s co-writer\, Ian Shaw\, is the son of JAWS star Robert Shaw. THE SHARK IS BROKEN was selected as part of Korda’s second public call for production proposals and will be directed by frequent Korda collaborator Rachel Hillis.

SUMMARY:Ride the Cyclone at Kordazone Theatre
DESCRIPTION:In this hilarious and outlandish story\, the lives of six teenagers from a Canadian chamber choir are cut short in a freak accident aboard a roller coaster. \nWhen they awake in limbo\, a mechanical fortune teller invites each to tell a story to win a prize like no other – the chance to return to life. \nThis popular musical is a funny\, moving look at what makes a life well-lived! \nThe show will be helmed by Korda Board Member Jeremy Burke\, whose recent Korda directing credits include 2025’s The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals\, 2024’s The Trench\, and 2023’s Romeo & Juliet. This production will also be the Windsor premiere of this Canadian musical.

SUMMARY:All My Sons at Kordazone Theatre
DESCRIPTION:In 1947\, Arthur Miller exploded onto Broadway with his first major work\, ALL MY SONS\, winning both the New York Drama Critics’ Circle Award for Best New Play and the Tony Award® for Best Author. \nThe play introduced themes that would preoccupy Miller throughout his career: the relationships between fathers and sons and the conflict between business and personal ethics. Joe Keller and Steve Deever\, partners in a machine shop during World War II\, turned out defective airplane parts\, causing the deaths of many men. \nDeever was sent to prison while Keller escaped punishment and went back to business\, making himself very wealthy in the ensuing years. \n A love affair between Keller’s son\, Chris\, and Ann Deever\, Steve’s daughter; the bitterness of George Deever\, who returns from the war to find his father in prison and his father’s partner free; and the reaction of Chris Keller to his father’s guilt escalate toward a climax of electrifying intensity.  \nALL MY SONS was the third title selected as part of Korda’s second public call for production proposals and will be directed by long-time Korda performer Chris Lanspeary.

SUMMARY:Evil Dead: The Musical at Kordazone Theatre
DESCRIPTION:EVIL DEAD: THE MUSICAL takes all the elements of the cult classic films\, The Evil Dead\, Evil Dead 2\, and Army of Darkness and combines them for one of the craziest\, funniest\, and bloodiest theatrical experiences of all time. \n Five college students go to an abandoned cabin in the woods and accidentally unleash an evil force that turns them all into demons. It’s all up to Ash (a housewares employee\, turned demon-killing hero)\, and his trusty chainsaw to save the day. \nBlood flies. Limbs are dismembered. Demons tell bad jokes… and it’s all set to music. Song titles like “All the Men in My Life Keep Getting Killed by Candarian Demons” and “What the F**k was That?” will have audiences rolling in their seats and screaming for more and more blood. This is a pure comedy start to finish\, while having cheeky fun with the horror genre all along the way. \nIt’s also the only show with a “Splatter Zone” section of the audience that gets covered in fake blood. EVIL DEAD: THE MUSICAL is unlike any LIVE show you’ve ever seen. JOIN US!!!!!! The show returns to The KordaZone Theatre after our 2017 production\, this time helmed by Korda Board Member Joey Wright\, whose recent Korda directing credits include 2024’s The Three Musketeers\, 2023’s The Best Man\, and 2022’s Clue.
