Doors open at 8:00 p.m.\, welcoming audiences to settle in for a night of rich vocals\, heartfelt songwriting\, and captivating live performance. \nHailing from rural Ontario\, Cat Clyde has built a devoted following through her distinctive blend of blues\, folk\, and vintage country influences. SUMMARY:Perseid Meteor Shower with RASC
DESCRIPTION:Have you ever observed a ‘shooting star’? The Perseid Meteor Shower peaks on the night of Wednesday\, August 12. Come join us and members of the Windsor Centre of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada on Wednesday\, August 12 for a day and night of special events in the park to celebrate our annual Perseid Meteor Shower Watch Party! Bring a blanket or folding chair and watch for the streaks of light as these space rocks rain down on the Earth’s atmosphere. As in the past\, volunteers from the astronomy club will have telescopes out on the West Beach after sunset to share views of many celestial objects with visitors! \nPlease note all outdoor observing activities are weather dependent. Telescopes can’t see through clouds! We hope you can join us for this special day of events! \nThe park will stay open all night August 12 to August 13 (open at 6 am August 12\, close at 10 pm August 13).
