The Wizard of Oz – WECAP
Follow the Yellow Brick Road with WECAP as we bring the timeless musical The Wizard of Oz to life on stage! Based on L. Frank Baum’s beloved story and the classic MGM film, this magical production is filled with unforgettable characters, iconic songs, and heartwarming lessons for all ages.
Dorothy Gale dreams of a life beyond her Kansas farm until a powerful tornado whisks her and her dog Toto away to the enchanting Land of Oz. When her arrival accidentally defeats the Wicked Witch of the East, Dorothy is gifted the magical ruby slippers and sent on a journey down the Yellow Brick Road to the Emerald City, hoping the great and powerful Wizard of Oz can help her return home.
Along the way, Dorothy meets three loyal companions—the Scarecrow, who longs for a brain; the Tin Man, who wishes for a heart; and the Cowardly Lion, who seeks courage. As the Wicked Witch of the West plots to stop them, the group discovers the power of friendship, bravery, and believing in themselves. In the end, Dorothy learns that home is not just a place, but the people who love us—and that there truly is no place like home.
