Sundays in the Studio! Abstract Still Life with Batoolio

Batoolio is a self-taught, multi-media, Palestinian-Canadian artist, based in Windsor. Batoolio uses art to communicate feelings that words cannot, resulting in vibrant and layered pieces of work. Batoolio was the most recent 2023 Waawiiyaatanong BIPOC Artist in Residence at Artcite Inc. and a recipient of the 2023 City of Windsor’s Arts, Culture and Heritage Fund grant.
Create a greeting card, birthday card, or otherwise friendly enveloped note to give to a loved one, with a twist! This workshop encourages the use of abstract techniques and applies them to the traditional realistic practice of still life painting.
Attendees responsibility: To think of someone they care for, and use the provided colour palettes to create a special occasion card of their choosing!
Artist responsibility: To facilitate and create an environment where the attendees feel encouraged to create without limits.
LOCATION: 2nd floor, Education Studio
To Participate:
- Drop-in to this family-friendly workshop between 1-4pm on Sundays. No registration required.
- This program is free with gallery admission.
- This program is great for families and is open to all. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
