Riverside 100 Exhibition and Walking Tour

Visit the Chimczuk Museum for the a new exhibition celebrating the Town of Riverside, Ontario’s 100th anniversary. The youngest of the border cities, the Town of Riverside was incorporated on May 3, 1921, and initially included 2,600 acres of land and 1,155 citizens. This exhibition will examine and celebrate the history of Riverside from early French settlement to the rum running and speakeasies of the 1920s to its eventual annexation by the City of Windsor in 1966.
Want to learn more about the Town of Riverside? Museum Windsor is also hosting a walking tour on Saturday, April 23, 2022. The tour will highlight some of the early French families in the area, interesting architecture, the town’s relationship with the Detroit River, and some Prohibition era stories. Tickets are $5.50 each, and space is limited. Advance registration is required.
