Mission to the Moon Presentation
Come join University of Windsor astronomer, Steven Pellarin, for a fascinating look at NASA’s Artemis II mission to the Moon which is expected to launch this month!
This mission marks the first time in more than 50 years that humans will travel to and orbit our lunar neighbour and its crew includes a Canadian this time – astronaut Jeremy Hansen.
Steve will discuss the goals and plans for the mission, as well as the complex and technically challenging preparations undertaken to make it a success. The presentation will begin at 4:00 pm, Saturday, February 21st in the Visitor Centre Auditorium.
Free stargazing with telescopes to follow in parking lot (weather permitting – dress appropriately). Cost: Included in admission fee. Wheelchair Accessible.
