Windsor’s FIREFEST is back showcasing firefighting skills at the Riverfront Festival Plaza demonstrated in 4 rugged activities:

• T2B RESCUE RELAY –Community Obstacle Course (September 8)
  Only room for 20 teams. Participants must be 18+. Click here to sign up today!
• Run with Responders (September 9)
  Community runners are invited to register for the 5K Run or Walk, Kids 1K and Kids Dash. Click here to register today!
• TUG ACROSS the RIVER (September 9)
  Windsor vs. Detroit!  The Tug Across the River will see 30 firefighters in each country pulling a 1,500-metre rope attached to buoys from the middle of the river to their respective side. First to touch wins!
• FIREFIT Western Ontario Regional (September 9 & 10)
  The FireFit Championships tour visits cities across Canada each season. The competition is based on firefighting tasks commonly performed in emergency situations.

Other activities:

• KIDS ZONE
  Features miniature version of the Firefighter course (includes ladder climb, run with hose and more). Face Painting, Balloon Sculptures, Chalk Graffiti, Bubbles and Mascots – lots of Mascots.
• FANS IN THE STANDS
  Feel what it’s like to suit up as a Firefighter. Take a selfie at the Firefighter Gear Station (variety of equipment sizes to choose from).
• HEALTH HUB & EDUCATION STATION
  Post a positive message for firefighters and other first responders on “Thank You” Walls. Medical Service Clinic Mobile Unit will be open for tours and general information on health services.
• VENDORS VILLAGE
  Variety of food & beverage options.
• BEER GARDEN
  Open to the public.

 Proceeds will benefit four organizations:

• Windsor Firefighters Benefit Fund
• Transition to Betterness(T2B)
• Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics
• CMHA-WECB
