Canada Day Fireworks Show and Concert
The Municipality of Leamington will once again host a free Canada Day celebration, including two evening concerts produced by The Bank Theatre and fireworks show at the waterfront.
On Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 7:30 PM, Leamington’s SUNSET® Amphitheatre will set the stage for musical acts Walkerville Collegiate WCCA Rock Band, followed by Almost Famous Band at 8:30 PM.
Almost Famous is Canada’s southernmost rock and party band. A four-piece rock/party band formed in February of 2015, they are four easy-going Kingsville guys who love performing their unique mix of mashups, old and new favourites, and good rockin’ sing-along songs. No gimmicks, egos, or agendas; Almost Famous is just in it for the fun of it.
The Walkerville Collegiate WCCA Rock Band is an eight-member high school group consisting of students from grades 9 to 12. They play rock, pop, punk, soul, and everything in between. This year’s members include Sean Holmes on drums, Nick Worth on guitar, Tyler Evans on bass, and Quintin Olivito on keyboard. Featuring vocalists Madeline Abanid, Hailey Chase, Mila Vujovich, and Posey Cormier.
Following the concerts, a fireworks show will be launched from a barge on Lake Erie beginning at approximately 10:00 PM.
All are welcome to attend this free, un-ticketed outdoor event. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and set up on the lawn for the show.
Food and drinks will be available for purchase at the Kinsmen Kanteen.
LTGO on-demand transit hours have been extended to 11:00 PM on Canada Day to get residents to and from the event conveniently and safely.
