Boblo Boats: A Detroit Ferry Tale is a feature-length magical realist documentary and Windsor International Film Festival favourite. The film follows a doctor, psychic and amusement park fanatic who fight to save two of the oldest surviving passenger steamboats from the scrapyard. For so many Ontarians, enjoying a day at Boblo Island amusement park was a family tradition. The film captures the fond and happy park memories while also peeling back the layers of nostalgia to reveal the forgotten Boblo civil rights victories that paved the way for sweeping change across the US. Appropriate for all ages.

Director Aaron Schillinger will hold a Q&A after the 7:00 pm screening on Saturday the 17th to share stories from his six years making the film, as well as the latest updates on the Boblo Boats.
