Are you looking for something different to do on an upcoming Saturday night that’s both fun and affordable? And we even have dinner taken care of for you. Well, mark your calendars for Saturday, September 30 from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm. The Essex Vocal Express is bringing back its annual show.

Next year we are coming up on 80 years together as a barbershop chorus in this area and we want to enhance our vocal footprint in the community this year by once again hosting our community-favoured acappella annual festivity. To start the celebration early this year we are hosting a fundraiser show on September 30th. This will be our first fundraising event since our last annual show in 2019, and we are looking forward to it as much as we hope you are.

Being the only BHS barbershop chorus in this area, we love to do our part to bring harmony to the community in affordable and entertaining ways. We couldn’t think of a better barbershop way to start those chords ringing than to combine our annual show and send-off show into one exciting and uber-affordable dinner show. We have an outstanding line-up for you this year. In addition to the Essex Vocal Express performing some of their favourites, you’ll also see the Heart of Essex Sweet Adeline chorus sing. Our Feature performer is the 2019 District Novice Quartet Champions, the 2019 Bush League Champions, and the 2022 Pioneer District Quartet Champions “Chonk.” They are an energetic and exciting group of young men to watch, and we are sure you will be entertained.

This year’s show will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 594 (5030 Howard Ave, Old Castle). Tickets are $25/person and include dinner. Doors open at 6:00 pm, dinner at 6:30 pm, and the show starts at 8:00 pm. The hall only seats 250 people so call and order your tickets today.
