2023 Media City Film Festival

Following Media City Film Festival’s highly successful 25th anniversary, and previous editions of ThousandSuns Cinema which reached hundreds of thousands of viewers virtually, MCFF returns to in-person presentations with its landmark 26th edition, November 7-11, 2023. We invite you to join us for this special celebration of avant-garde, experimental and artists’ cinema in Windsor, Ontario and Detroit, Michigan, in company of many esteemed peers, colleagues and friends.

MCFF will showcase 50+ international film and digital artworks in their original formats (S8mm, 16mm, 35mm, digital) at the historic Capitol Theatre and Arts Centre. Curated across five nights of International Competition, Retrospective, and Special Screenings, MCFF will host invited filmmakers from around the world, with many opportunities to engage with artists and other cinema professionals.

Due to the intimate scale of Media City Film Festival, our new Guest Registration Portal is the best way to secure your spot at this historic edition. Seating capacity limitations and demand dictates the number of visitors we can accommodate. Registration is offered on a first-come-first-served basis until we sell out. We highly recommend that you plan early.
