One of only four “Designated Viticultural Areas” in Ontario, Pelee Island is home to over 750 acres of vitis vinifera vineyards. Here in an internationally recognized microclimate created by its extreme southerly latitude and the moderating effect of Lake Erie, the vines of Pelee Island Winery enjoy Canada’s longest growing season, and thrive in the island’s rich limestone-based soils. The combination of sun, soil, lake and latitude create ideal grape-growing conditions, and provide the source of Pelee Island Winery’s Award-Winning Wines. Pelee Island is one of Canada’s true gems of nature and a perfect destination for a day trip or weekend getaway.
TOURS
Tours are offered at 12pm, 2pm and 4pm daily. The cost is $10 per person and includes a tour, tasting and Pelee Island Winery wine glass.
PRICING
Tastings, when available, are by donation of choice to our featured charitable organization.
WINE TASTINGS
Tastings are available by donation to our charity of the month. Charcuterie plates for two will be available commencing May 13th at $20 plus tax per plate. Please make a note on your tasting reservation that you would like one as quantities are limited.
